Risa walked into the greenhouse. She knew the plants in all the greenhouses like the back of her hand. She was up early today. Actually if truth be told she hadn't slept last night for some odd reason but that didn't bother her much. It happened every once in awhile. It just started happening more lately. She had told Professor Sprout that she would check up on the plants when she got up before she went to class and ate of course. Professor Sprout new full well that she would do as she said she would.
She picked up the watering can and began to water the mandrakes first because she knew that the needed just a little bit of water to be happy. They didn't need much as it were anyways. She finished up with them and went to go and water some of the other plants. She liked plants and animals very much so and Professor Spourt as well as many other teachers thought that she would be a naturalist when she finally left the hallowed halls of Hogwarts. She wasn't sure what she was going to be. She liked other aspects of magic as well it was just that with plants and animals you could be so hand on.
She was finished watering in no time at all. She started humming half way though which seemed to make the plants happy. She put down the watering can and went to make sure that no weeds or anything were in the pots with the plants as well. She was to involved to notice if anyone else was around.

Jakub walked into the greenhouse, he was looking for a screechsnap plant for potions class. He didn't know where anything was, maybe someone will help him out. Why did he wait until today to do this assignment. Oh well, he better get looking.
He was walking around the different greenhouses looking for a sign or someone to help out. In the third greenhouse he saw Marissa watering some of the plants. Why was she here? Must be helping Sprout out, she loved plants and animals. He walked up to her, and said "Hey Marissa. What're you doing here?"

Marissa nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard her brother. She had been working out a weeds that had gotten close to the devil's snare at the back of the greenhouse. She pulled her hand away and backed up just in time not to have a hand in it. She shook her head as she turned to her brother. "Well I told professor Sprout I would check up on the plants this morning. Like I do almost every other morning when school is in session. That is what I'm doing here. What might you be doing her dear brother?"
He brother had the habit of waiting until the last minuet to do things so she was sure he was here for a reason or two. She went back to working on pulling out the weeds and making sure that the devil's snare was in good condition as it were. She smiled when she was done and turned back to look at her brother half expecting him to answer her now that he had her full attention. Of course that was only half true. She was still searching the greenhouse in a sense to make sure that nothing else was disturbing the peacefulness of the green house. This was the third years green house as it were. The fourth years had the next greenhouse over and so it went in order of years. However if you were a seventh year you used them all. She couldn't wait until then. She would do her Newt's in Herbology merely because she knew she would do well. She couldn't wait for OWL's next year as it were. Her parents told her she shouldn't want to grow up so fast but she couldn't help it. The older years got to learn so much more.

"I'm looking for screechsnap for some stupid potions assignment." Why doesn't he ask her where it is? she's here everyday. He wish the OWL's didn't exist. Marrisa couldn't wait for them, she was always talking about it, but why? The OWL's aren't fun, it's hundreds of questions. And he had to try to learn this year so he could pass, which made it worse. If it wasn't for the OWL's he would be failing every class. "Do you know where the screechsnap might be?" And dear brother? "Since when am I your 'dear' brother?"

couldn't help but giggle at her brother. He couldn't understand why she was so excited for school and for tests that would make the other cringe. She was just weird in that sense. She always had been. She excelled and what she did most of the time so it made total sense to her parents in a way. She was one might say the perfect daughter in their eyes but she had her secrets too. She couldn't help but smile brightly at her brother. She would probably be the one to jump infornt of a spell ment for him. She was slightly protective in that way.
"What you don't like being called dear brother? Do you prefer big brother?" She covered her mouth and she giggled a bit more and then composed herself. "I'll take you too them though you passed them when you came in." She walked over to the plant and took two up for her brother and handed it to him. She didn't say anything just gave him a small smile that was meant only for him.

He sighed and said, "How about you just call me Jakub?" Not some other nickname. What was he doing again...? Oh yes! "Thanks dear sister." Why did he wait so long to do this... "I kinda procrasinated a little...and i need some for today." How she could get so excited for school, he did not know. He hated it. He loves learning stuff, but they make it so boring. His first year was best when everything was different. Sometimes she seemed so weird. I mean, he loved her as family, and would do anything for her, but he just didn't get her sometimes.

Marissa looked at her older brother. It was so boring to just call him by his name but if that was what he wanted then she supposed she had no other choice. Then again like any good little sister she would still call him big brother as it were. There was no stopping her with that one. She giggled when he called her dear sister. "You are welcome. You know you shouldn't procrasinate on such thing Jakub" This time she was being fully serious. That was usually when she actually used his name or when she needed something or was frightened. She knew he'd protect her if she asked but she was the one that liked protecting him a bit.
Marissa knew her brother didn't get her most of the time and she was fine with that. She tried over the years to tune it down on her like for school but she couldn't. "Sorry I think I'm being a little to excited about everything. Don't mean to be. Its just when you know the questions to ask and how to get under your teachers skin and learn more then they actually thought you would its just fun." She sighed knowing her brother wouldn't get the picture but well she did try sometimes.

He laughed at her when she said he shouldn't procrasinate. She knew that he procrasinated all the time, all he ever does with his work. "Dear sister, you know I don't do work..." She was always protecting him. He didn't care, in fact, it was nice to know there was someone there whenever he needed someone.
That just confused him, why would he want to learn at all? "It's okay. I just don't like school, and you do. I don't get it, but still. Can i ask why you like school?" He just didn't get it. He absolutely hated school. He always did, even before he started going to hogwarts, at the muggle schools.

Most people that it was odd that Marissa protected her brother the way she did. Most thought it should be the other way around but well it just wasn't that way with them. She knew full well that she could go to her brother if she was scared or needed help herself and he wouldn't say no to her. She had to giggle when he said that he didn't do work. She knew full well that he didn't. He hadn't since they were young. Mom and dad were always in a parent teacher conference with his teachers. It wasn't like he ever failed at grade or anything he just didn't like school. She wasn't sure why he didn't either.
She looked at him oddly for a second when he asked her why she liked school so much. "I don't like the work any more than you do. But I like being with friends and learning new things. I've had teachers that I didn't like and so it became like a type of game for me to see how frusterated with me that they could get. On top of how much more I could get out of them. Like our grade school teacher wouldn't tell us things unless we asked. I remember mom and dad getting angry with me because I had pissed off my teacher. You know they took me out of school for a bit too thinking that I might do better on my own and such which I did but I didn't like not having my friends around and such. I just find learning fun. Plus I guess I like making games out of things." She shrugged she couldn't really explain it all. "Why don't you like school. I know you like to learn but what is it about school that you just don't like?" That had always confused her. He was good at school in a sense he did learn things.

How could he explain it? "I love to learn and all, but they make it so boring. The only fun thing about being in class is messing around. I like hands on learning, doing stuff. But they don't do that. It's always reading form books." Making games was kinda fun... "I guess making games outta stuff is fun too though."

Marissa was sure he had a way of explaining things to her so that she would get it. Most people were afraid to try to explain things to her merely because she seemed to know more than she should for a girl her age. Now would probably not be a good time to tell her brother that a seventh year boy liked her because she wasn't like all the other girls. No she would keep that at the back of her mind. "Well that does make sense. Very few of our classes here are hands on."
She had known that about her brother for awhile know. He liked taking things apart and putting the back together and such like that. "At least making at game out of it makes it a bit more fun."

"Personally, i'd rather just throw some dung bombs at the teacher." Speaking of which, when was the next hogsmeade weekend? He could use some more..Ah the joys of annoying teachers... "And marissa, whats up with you lately? You seem different." He couldn't tell what, but there was something. She never kept secrets from him. They always new everything about each other. What was it?

She giggled at what her brother said but nothing more than that. He always knew how to make her happy and how to make her laugh. Her smile on the other hand faded rather quickly when he asked what was up with her lately. so she really couldn't hide anything from her brother. She thought she'd been doing a good job of it but maybe not. It didn't help that she hadn't slept last night either. She took a deep breath and looked at her brother for a long moment.
"Well....I haven't been sleeping well lately. If i do sleep i have really odd dreams. None of which are good. I feel like there is something bad out there on the horizon and I can't figure it out and you know how i get when I can't figure something out. Oh and on topic of things such as a love life. I have a seventh year boy who basically won't leave me alone." That was about all she could tell her brother. She was off cause she had way to much on her mind. She didn't do well with lack of sleep either sometimes. Specially when she didn't have enough sugar and all. Her brother would know that as well.

It was probably her sugar. She wasn't getting enough again. But that wasn't all she was hiding. There was the seventh year boy. He didn't like that. "When your as devious and evil as I am, you know how to read people. Marissa..." Why did it have to be a seventh year? "You know i don't like the fact that you like a seventh year boy. If it was up to me, you wouldn't be dating anyone older than me. It's not up to me though." Love...he loved it.He knew how she felt though, or else he would probably be yelling at her. "You can date whoever you want. Why did you hide that?"

Marissa sighed. It wasn't like she was dating the seventh year he just wasn't leaving her the hell alone. She didn't like him. If anything he creeped her out for liking her in the first place. She knew that Jakub would be upset if she even mentioned such as thing but she couldn't help it. She was feeling a little faint now and rummaged through her bag to fine a piece of candy. she always had some in there just incase. She found a piece and put it in her mouth. It was chocolate so it would melt in just a little bit.
"I'm not dating him. He just won't leave me alone. He keeps telling me I'm not like the other girls. And it just kinda creeps me out. I mean i'm fourteen, he's seventeen...It just seems wrong to me. He just likes me cause I don't act like i'm stupid like some of the other girls do." She shrugged her shoulders as the chocolate finally completely melted in her mouth. She knew full well that this was going to be an interesting day.
